“Dameyk”, a group installation art exhibition collected by Mahmoud Maktabi. “Dameyk” opens on Friday 21 July 2017 from 16-20 and will be on view through Wednesday 26 July 2017. Artists: Ozra Bikdeloo, Moloud Pilevar Abrisham, Ali Khaleghi, Sara Shahmohammadian, Mahdieh Safi Pour, Farnaz Mokhtabad.
“Dameyk” is an old word for “earth”.
The relationship between the human race and earth and their interaction with it as a habitat has been a common concern and an inspiration behind the creation of works of the artists present at this exhibition, in an attempt to pay tribute to this ancient cradle of life.
